Where's My Platform?
Next Trains can only show a platform when it’s included in the live rail data for that train.
If no platform appears, it usually means the station or operator hasn’t published one yet, the platform is only announced shortly before departure, or it isn’t being shared through the public feed at all.
This is most common at busy stations, during disruption, or where trains can leave from more than one platform. In those cases, the station departure boards and announcements are still the best source of truth.
For a closer look, try Public Platforms, a companion project built by the developer behind Next Trains. It uses National Rail’s Darwin real-time messaging feed to track platform updates over time, which can help show whether a platform was assigned and whether it was made public.
